amanda greaney, CEO
Amanda (Mandy) started at Lou’s Place as General Manager in March 2022. Mandy comes to Lou’s with over 20 years leadership experience across a variety of community services and is passionate about Social Justice and ensuring that the most vulnerable within our community are supported to access their rights. She is highly experienced in multi service outlet management and has had extensive experience across many different programs including disabilities, homelessness, domestic and family violence, youth, child protection early intervention services and gambling.
Mandy relish’s the challenge of delivering high quality services to societies most outcast and ostracised. Mandy is very enthusiastic and always demonstrates empathy and a non-judgmental attitude to the people she works to support.
Mandy is acknowledged for being a very supportive and knowledgeable leader who is always willing to listen and support staff to solve any problems within their work so that they may support clients in the same way.
GENAVIEVE SAKR, Programs manager
Genavieve started at Lou's Place as the Always Mum Case Manager and Project Officer in June 2021 and transitioned into her role as Programs Manager in March 2022, overseeing three distinct programs at Lou's Place. Genavieve brings over seven years of hands-on experience working in the community services sector in areas such as therapeutic case management, group facilitation, allied health care coordination & program development, specialising in supporting women with multiple complex needs.
Passionate about leveraging her insights into the socio-political climate and its impact on the women she supports, Genavieve is dedicated to education, advocacy, and the creation of a therapeutic environment that fosters healing and growth.
Genavieve utilises a trauma-informed, person-centred & strengths-based approach to her work, with non-judgement and authenticity at the forefront. Building on this foundation, she employs creative and hands-on problem-solving techniques, guided by her steadfast commitment to being led by women as the true experts of their own lives.
Hannah Kelly, client services and administration manager
Hannah started at Lou's Place as an Intake and Admin Support Officer in September 2022, and transitioned into her role as Client Services and Administration Manager in November 2023. She completed her Diploma of Community Services at TAFE in February 2022.
Hannah has over 10 years' experience in client facing roles, having previously worked as a Youth Mentor, Retail Assistant, and Marketing and Admin Assistant.
Hannah prides herself on her friendly and welcoming nature and operates through a trauma-informed mindset. She is passionate about meeting every woman at their point of need, and promoting autonomy and dignity through acceptance and respect.
May Lin, Bookkeeper
May started at Lou’s Place in April 2022 as part-time bookkeeper. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of South Australia in 1992. She has previously worked in not-for-profit organisations for 4 years, and also has extensive accounting experience.
Although May works with numbers, she is passionate and empathic towards every woman that comes into Lou’s Place. She loves to be part of a team empowering women and promoting their wellbeing.
alice di maggio, case manager (always mum)
Alice started at Lou’s Place in May 2022 as the Always Mum Program Case Manager.
Alice holds a Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice, and a Master of Social Work (Qualifying). Alice has spent time working with children and families in Early Intervention, Domestic and Family Violence and Out of Home Care. Alice has extensive knowledge of domestic and family violence and trauma informed practice.
Alice is passionate about walking beside women on their individual journeys and to provide advocacy where required. Alice’s practice is grounded in intersectional feminism and trauma informed approaches to provide an environment conducive of healing for women. Alice values building trust and safety as the cornerstone of therapeutic working relationships.
SHAZYA SINGH, DOMESTIC AND FAMILY VIOLENCE CASE MANAGER
Shazya joined Lou's Place as a student on placement in September 2022 and began as the Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager in February 2023. She also facilitates the Connecting Through Change program.
Shazya has completed a BSC (Psychology) and a Masters in Social Work (Qualifying).
Shazya prides herself on her interpersonal skills and her caring and calm manner. She is passionate about advocating for women and operates with a person-centered approach to empower the women she works with.
Eliza florian, drop-in case worker
Eliza started at Lou’s Place in October 2023 as a Drop-In Case Manager. Eliza holds a Bachelor of Psychology which she completed in 2022.
Eliza is an experienced community service worker, having previously worked with individuals and families as an ABA Therapist, Disability Support Worker and Youth Advocate. Eliza approaches her work with a strong commitment to trauma-informed care, striving to create a compassionate and empowering environment for the women she works with. In her practice, Eliza places a high value on trust, respect and understanding.
She recognizes the individuality of every woman’s journey and appreciates the diverse experiences and strengths they bring. Eliza is passionate about meeting the unique needs of each woman she supports.
Jenni Egan, Client Services and Administration Officer
Jenni started at Lou’s Place in December 2023 as a Client Services and Administration Officer. She holds a Diploma of Community Services which she completed in 2022.
Prior to working at Lou’s Place, Jenni worked in an administrative role within the corporate sector for over 20 years. After personal circumstances, Jenni decided to make the move into the community services sector to make a difference in the community.
Jenni enjoys being the first point of contact at Lou’s Place, fostering meaningful connections with the women. She uses her compassion and empathy to provide steadfast support to individuals facing challenges, offering an understanding ear and engaging in heartfelt conversations to offer comfort.
