About Us
The Lou’s Place community is a Sydney charity made up of many parts: the women who walk through the door each day to find a safe place at Lou’s; the Marmalade Foundation, which not only raises the funds to operate Lou’s but also oversees strategy and operations; the paid welfare staff who provide the spectrum of services Lou’s clients enjoy; the volunteers who assist the staff in offering diverse activities and services; our ambassadors who represent Lou’s to the wider public and our donors without whom Lou’s Place would not exist.
The Marmalade Foundation Limited
The Marmalade Foundation operates Lou’s Place and raises the funds needed to keep the doors of this Sydney charity open. Our organisational structure is divided into two main components; the board which oversees strategy and monitors both fundraising and spending, and the operations committee which, along with our manager, is responsible for day to day operations.
